guitarBlogRoll

Eliminate guitar blogs with dated posts, ignore the ones with so-so content, leave aside the gems I have yet to discover, and you are left with: guitarBlogRoll!
If you are in the market for a new axe, Electric Guitar Review is a solid first-stop resource. EGR does an impressive job of providing pretty pictures and informative descriptions of newly released guitars and, on occasion, accompanying gear.
For the Fender-inspired, Strat-o-Blogster focuses on all things Stratocaster, but includes enough general interest posts and commentary to be worth a visit by even a, gulp, Gibby fan. Spend some time exploring the peripheral links that surround the main posts.
Classic strat or tele not your style? GuitarNoize will scratch your itch with an ever-growing list of crazy guitar designs. If a flashy strap is your idea of extravagant, you’ll find a few nice surprises.
Building the Ergonomic Guitar showcases some not-so-crazy, but undeniably original, guitar designs. A definitive source for information regarding Repetitive Stress Injury, BTEG also wins the “least in need of further explanation” domain name prize. Educational and entertaining.
Speaking of building, Eric is making music from the ground up - by constructing his own instrument. Eric Makes Music has bitten off an electric guitar build project, and we are looking forward to watching him chew. Preliminary sketches are promising (as noted in a prior post).
There is a process for building instruments - ergonomic, homemade or otherwise. There is also a process for writing songs to be played on them. Pull Music Blog explores that process, by introducing the works of lesser-known artists and by presenting the author’s personal methods for accomplishing creativity.
The remaining guitarBlogRoll members offer a variety of high quality music-related info and commentary. IG Blog leads the pack, but be sure to also bookmark Guitar-stuff.net for new reviews and industry events; Scraplog, if you like your music-related content mixed with political news and other media; or peruse Guitarlead.net, a handy amalgamator of these and other guitar blogs.
Got any more frequently-updated, killer-content, music-related sites for the guitarBlogRoll? Send them my way.

Hey! Thanks for the plug!!
That was a real nice overview of the guitar blogosphere! Thanks for putting that together, and I’m honored that IG BLOG made the cut! How about guitarblog.com? Where does it fit in the overview? What do you want to do with it? Just curious… As always…
Thanks again!
IG
Thanks so much for including my blog! I’m honored to be included in the list. I’ve been blogging for over a year now and it’s been great to not only see the number of guitar bloggers grow but watch the quality of content improve as well. I look forward to our collective success!
Count me in on the thanks. The music blog is relatively new and I appreciate any press or link that will get it off the ground. I’ve been taking a few days to lay out the ideas in my head and get them on paper…and soon to be online.
Onward and upward good men…
My pleasure to highlight the good sites. Keep the content coming! Hopefully I’ll get a few suggestions for gems I’ve missed (rather than just pilfering the others’ blog rolls!)
IG, as to your questions, guitarBlog.com is definitely trying to find its niche. It started as a forum to show off my new Gibby and some gear in a review or two. But I enjoy stretching my editorial legs from time to time, and keeping plugged in for the sake of the music, the merchandise, the medium, and all sorts of things. So, we’ll see.
Thanks for the mention, I seem to have become obsessed with the weird and wonderful world of crazy guitars since starting my blog and the strange thing is I just keep finding more…!
Keep up the great blog!
Thanks for the plug in the blogroll. It feels really good to be a part of this community!
