    This is probably a good thing. Reunion tours can never capture the essence of a time long ago.

    yeah I saw Page & Plant years ago in Birmingham, England with a moroccan orchestra which was impressive but I don’t think that it would have come close to seeing the real thing. If only I was born 10 years earlier…

    That is one thing about these loaded, aging rockers: They can afford top-notch artists and shows. I bet that moroccan orchestra was kickin’.

And just like that, hopes of a reunion show featuring the remaining members of Led Zeppelin, and concomitant optimism over the possibility of a follow-up tour, are up in flames.

Dryly chalking up the rumor to “communication breakdown,” Guitar World reports that former lead singer Robert Plant has denied knowledge of the plans. Eager fans and writers that lit up the blogosphere with reaction to the announcement (guilty!), are now noting with humor and disappointment Plant’s disavowal.

Maybe that’s the last of it. Maybe not.
