I do have a recipe for home made dog biscuits, all I need is a guitar cookie cutter and voila!!! Guitars for Dogs. Case closed.

Unfortunately, your prediction came true: “guitars for dogs” is no longer a Googlenope. You’ll be glad to hear that it does link back here, though, so anyone else looking for a guitar for their dog will have your research as a starting point.

Ah. So it did. Thanks for the update, Geekboy. We are all just bloggers living in a Google world.

No Guitars for Dogs

I love guitars. I love dogs. On a whim, I Googled “guitars for dogs.” I was curious to see the extent to which the entrepreneurial fervor associated with all things canine had crossed into the realm of luthierism. Know what I found?

Nothing. Not a single entry. See for yourself.

I am not the first surfer to find phrases missing from the not-quite infinite Google cache. In fact, Washington Post writer Gene Weingarten devoted one of his columns last month to finding phrases not on Google. He even labeled such entities “Googlenopes,” adding the inevitable truism: “Once a Googlenope is discovered and written about, it is no longer a Googlenope.”

So, “guitars for dogs” is a Googlenope, at least for the moment. Am I the only one surprised by this? Should I be worried that I am also disappointed? (For Fido’s sake.)
