This is the best news ever I have been waiting 25 yrs, i was only 12 when Bonzo died, there are many like me who love Zep, thank god it happening!!!!!!!

Led Zeppelin Reunion Show?

performances, aging Icons

The day that my right hand, unconsciously searching to make noise, does not finger the instantly-recognized opening lick to Over the Hills and Far Away, or strum the mildly overdramatic intro chords to Tangerine, or pick the brutal pre-chorus bass notes in Ten Years Gone - that is the day I am no longer interested in hearing about possible Led Zeppelin reunion shows. That day has not come. That day will never come.

Messrs. Plant, Page, Jones and Bonham’s son Jason have apparently agreed to play a London concert in memory of Atlantic Records founder Ahmet Ertegun. A source cited in a Yahoo News article added: “And no one can quite believe it, but during discussions about the concert they all gave the green light to a tour if it all does well and they don’t all fall out.”

I would not refuse a free ticket to any show on that tour. But even a chance to see the group that was the cornerstone of my adolescent musical play list - the bedrock of bed rock, if you will - somehow seems too little, too late. Even if Plant could caterwaul like the old days, and Plant could riff without an understudy, and “a” Bonham rather than “the” Bonham were enough, the mature, intelligent, respected family men on stage would still only serve as revered reminders of the Zep of the 70s; the handsome gentlemen rockers mere symbolic shadows of the mystical hotel-wreckers that defined and launched modern hard rock.

Yet, always newsworthy.
